I have been testing out the new No7 Lift and Luminate serum now, since the day it came out. Granted I haven’t used it every day, but I have given it a really good go and I must be honest I haven’t been too impressed with it. When using a good serum I can see a difference in my skin after only a couple of uses and I have used the No7 Serum for a few weeks now and just have not seen a difference in my skin.
It certainly isn’t an awful serum, I haven’t had a reaction to it and it does leave the skin more hydrated, I just think you can definitely get better for your money.
This serum claims to make wrinkles appear reduced, skin feel firmer and skin tone more even. I really didn’t see any of those things happen.
On the other hand The Body Shop Drops of Youth Concentrate is fabulous. There really is no comparison between the two. The Drops of Youth claims to help enhance the surface skin condition, smooth and instantly moisturise and I am being totally truthful here when I say I noticed all of those things happen. After just two uses of The Drops of Youth I could see a clear reduction in the fine lines on my face and my skin was massively more hydrated.
It is an unusual texture, as it is slightly tacky feeling, not at all silky smooth, but it means it really grabs on to your moisturiser which then goes on beautifully over the top.
The No7 serum is £34.95 for 50ml vs The Body Shop Drops of Youth at £32 for 50ml.
The verdict – save the £2.95 and buy Drops of Youth. Sorry No7, but you just did not live up to expectations here.
