On Sunday I popped out to try and finish some errands that I had attempted (unsuccessfully) to complete on Saturday. I wasn’t feeling in the best mood, which isn’t like me, but I still wasn’t feeling too well (boring) and was pretty tired, so wasn’t myself. So, anyway, I was picking up some things I had ordered and returning a few things and generally feeling sorry for myself…UNTIL…I was in the queue to collect a parcel from Boots and found the most exciting travel size product I had seen in a very long time.
On the aisle next to the till were some miniature Real Technique brushes. Something I had never seen before. I actually let out a little squeal which you could tell truly perturbed my husband, who was with me and had never seen my mood change so quickly, by a makeup brush or two.
Unlike a lot of travel sized brushes, the Real Techniques brushes still have a full size head, so exactly the same brush head as the full size brushes you would buy, but with a short little travel friendly, stubby handle.
I bought just three for now. Well, I say “for now” because I could only see four brushes and the fourth brush I didn’t fancy. I am desperately hoping they have brought out a travel size of the setting brush, as that is my favourite brush from the whole of the Real Techniques original collection. The ones I bought (from left to right) were the contour brush, expert face brush and the multi task brush.
The middle and right brushes were £5.50 each, the far left was £6 but was in the Boots 3 for 2 Christmas collection.
I have used all three of the brushes, and I can definitely confirm that they are just as great as the full size versions. All I can say is well done Sam and Nic (the people behind Real Techniques, for any of you who don’t know), these are a stroke of genius.
